Dragons fall to Northwest Ohio 5-1

Summertime rust surely showed as the Dragons were taken down by UNOH in a 5-1 match that was called due to darkness.

The Dragons didn't show up well for their doubles matches, dropping all three to UNOH.  The closest match was a new pairing of Lezama/Isaac who fell 7-9 to Popa/Baciu of UNOH.  The other pairings of Ludena/Cutting and Kopronica/Mangone fell 5-8 and 2-8 respectively.

Singles didn't fare much better for the Dragons as they fell in all but one match with many matches going unfinished due to darkness.

Ludena fell quickly to Theo Baudin of UNOH at 1st singles 1-6, 2-6 while Andrew Issac retired in his match 4-6, 4-4 giving UNOH their final point.

The lone Dragon win was a stellar performance from TU's Elio Lezama as he defeated Iustin Baciu 6-4, 6-4.

Other notable not finished matches were Cutting at 4th singles who lost the first set 6-7, but was up 5-4 in the second set and Mangone who was up 7-6, 5-4 at 5th singles.

The Dragons will play again against Lawrence Technology University on September 7th in Tiffin.
