CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- The Wayne State University baseball team (4-4 overall) concluded a three-game series against former GLIAC member Ohio Dominican (7-3 overall) on Sunday with a 5-4 defeat at V.A. Memorial Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Justin Kelly (Wheaton, Ill. / Wheaton Warrenville South) drove in two runs with a double to center field to give WSU a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Â Two errors and three ODU hits in the bottom of the first inning led to three runs and gave the Panthers a 3-2 lead. Â
Brad Baldwin (Troy, Mich. / Bishop Foley Catholic) and Kelly drew walks to begin the third inning. Â Baldwin advanced to third base after a fly out to center field and scored on a
Patrick Adams (Detroit, Mich. / De La Salle) infield single.
- Kelly sent his second double of the day into center to begin the fifth inning and another RBI from Adams pushed the Green & Gold ahead 4-3.  Ohio Dominican tied the game at 4-4 with three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning.  The game remained tied at 4-4 until a two-out RBI in the bottom of the eighth inning gave ODU a 5-4 lead.  The Warriors went down in order in the ninth inning to end the game.
AT THE PLATE
- Kelly led WSU's offensive attack, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Â Adams also drove in two runs with two base hits and stole a base.
ON THE MOUND

Josh Nelson (Ann Arbor, Mich/ Saline) started and struck out eight batters over six innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits. Â
Hunter Brown (St. Clair Shores, Mich. / Lakeview) (0-1) allowed the go-ahead run in his one and 1/3 innings of work. Â
Taylor Horn (Leo, Ind.) worked the final 2/3 of an inning, striking out both batters he faced.
