WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (2-3 overall) swept Stonehill College, 9-0, Thursday afternoon at the Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Winter Park, Fla.
DOUBLES RESULTS- Freshman
Derek Sammons (Coldwater, Mich.) and senior
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France) bested Michael Doody and Dimitri Vlassov, 8-4, at No. 3 doubles, while sophomore
Harvey Reed (Winchester, England) and junior
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) topped Nikolay Lisichenok and Joan Castillo, 8-4, at the second doubles flight.

Taylor Vane (Southampton, England) and junior
Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) defeated Thomas Bellio and Tom Buckley in a close, 9-7, pro set at first doubles.
SINGLES RESULTS - Vane upended Castillo, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 singles, while Carlson won in two sets (6-0, 6-1) over Jeffrey Gagnon at the fifth singles flight.
- Charriere defeated Lisichenok, 6-0, 6-2, at the second singles position, and Reed topped Buckley, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4 singles.
- Freshman
Nicholas Ang (Rochester, Mich.) won his first collegiate singles match, 6-3, 6-2, over Gerard Tierney at the sixth singles flight, while Kechai posted a two-set win (6-2, 6-2) over Bellio at No. 1 singles.
