Tech Tennis Suffers 8-1 Setback at Tiffin
TIFFIN, Ohio — Michigan Tech fell to 1-3 in men's tennis today as Tiffin defeated the Huskies 8-1 in a GLIAC matchup.
Built Yumuang was Tech's lone winner with a 7-6, 4-6, 10-6 score at No. 3 singles.
No. 2 singles player Javier Oliveros lost in a third set tiebreaker for the second straight day with scores of 6-7, 6-3, 10-7. Nick Kremkow dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 4 singles.
In doubles, both No. 1 and No. 2 were contested to 8-5 scores. No. 3 was an 8-2 final.
Michigan Tech will pause league play to prepare for its spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C., Mar. 8-13.
