Oilers Lose To Storm 3-1

The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Lake Erie College 3-1 on Friday, September 19 in Painesville, Ohio. 

Lake Erie took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Stefan Martin scored at the 30 minute mark.  Then, in the second half, Lake Erie extended their lead when Cory Bucur scored at the 60 minute mark. 

The Oilers got on the board when senior Veselin Panchev scored off of an assist from senior Cullen Baron at the 67 minute mark. 

The game went down to the wire and the Oilers comeback attempt ended when Lake Erie scored at the 89 minute mark to take a 3-1 lead.

Findlay goalkeeper Joe McClanahan took the loss in the net and had three saves in the process. 

The Oilers, who are now 1-4 on the year, will travel to Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, September 21 to face GLIAC rival Ohio Dominican University.
