The University of Findlay women's basketball team blasted Tiffin University by a score of 95-63 on Nov. 12 at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) / Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Challenge in Painesville, Ohio. The win evens the Oilers record at 1-1 on the year.
The Oilers shot 49.3 percent (34-of-69) from the floor and canned 8-of-17 (47.1%) attempts from behind the three point line. They also forced 15 turnovers and limited the Dragons to a 35 percent (21-of-60) shooting clip in the win.
Junior forward Anna Hintz led the Oilers with a career-high 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting. She made a career-high 8-of-9 attempts from the free throw line and also added six rebounds, two assists and a block.
Senior guard Haley Horstman had 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals while junior forward Dana Fricke came off the bench to provide a career-high points in the victory.
Junior guard Lauren Ruth also reached double figures with ten points and five rebounds while senior guard Lynsey Englebrecht had eight points and a career-high six boards.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Nov. 15 when they travel to Erie, Pa. for a contest against Gannon University at 6pm.
