The University of Findlay men's basketball team held on for an 86-76 win over Cedarville University on Nov. 26 in Croy Gymnasium. The win pushed their record to 3-1 on the season.
The Oilers shot 51.7 percent (31-of-60) from the floor and canned 10-of-24 (41.7%) shot attempts from behind the three point line. They also out-rebounded the Yellow Jackets by a 40-30 margin and recorded nine steals in the win.
Junior forward Taren Sullivan led the Oilers with his first career double-double as he tied his career-high with 27 points and ten rebounds. Sullivan hit 11-of-17 shot attempts and also added three assists, two steals and one block in the game.
Junior guard Martyce Kimbrough scored 21 points on 5-of-11 shooting while junior guard Elijah Kahlig came off the bench to provide 17 points on the strength of a 5-of-7 showing from long range.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Dec.1 when they travel to Allendale, Mich. to face Grand Valley State University.
