HAINES CITY, Fla. -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (3-5) began its spring break trip in Florida with an 8-1 win over Stonehill.

Trey Keating (Troy, Mich.) and sophomore
Clement Charriere (Marseille, France) began the match with an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. The duo of
Mohamed Fazyl Kechai (Paris, France) and redshirt senior
Gopinath Menta (Hyderabad, India) won their match at second doubles, 8-6. Freshman
Harvey Reed (Winchester, Hampshire, England) and sophomore
Ryan Carlson (Armada, Mich.) edged their opponents at No. 3 doubles, 9-7.
The only Stonehill point of the day came at No. 1 singles (3-5, 6-3, 10-7) as Fazyl Kechai fell 10-7 in a super tiebreaker.
Charriere won the second flight of singles 6-2, 6-3. At No. 3 singles, Menta came out on top 6-3, 6-2.
Carlson won at No. 4 singles thanks to a 10-2 super tiebreaker victory. Keating was victorious at the fifth flight of singles 6-2, 6-3.
Reed concluded the results with a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles.
The Warriors will meet Vincennes on Friday at 10:30 AM in Orlando, Fla.
