MARSHALL, Minn. - Grand Valley State University junior relief pitcher Brad Zambron continues to add to his postseason awards. Zambron has earned Third Team All-America honors from Daktronics. Zambron was joined on the Daktronics All-America team by teammate senior outfielder Steve Anderson and Tiffin University senior outfielder Pat Curtin who were both named to the honorable mention team.

Zambron went 1-1 this season with a 0.52 ERA and 16 saves, a new GVSU and GLIAC single-season record. Zambron appeared in a GVSU record 30 games, struck out 22 batters in 34.2 innings pitched and yielded only three walks with a .215 batting average against. Zambron's 0.52 ERA is the lowest ERA in school history by pitchers with at least 30 innings pitched and his 0.78 walks per nine innings is the third-best mark. Zambron was part of a school-record four shutouts this year and has been named First Team All-Midwest Region by Daktronics, ABCA and the NCBWA and Second Team All-America NCBWA.

Anderson finished his Laker career at the top of multiple offensive categories. Anderson ranks first in career games played (210), RBI (187), total bases (396) and hit by pitches (35). Anderson finished second in career games started (196), at-bats (689), hits (257) and home runs (26). Anderson hit .373 this season with 78 hits, 44 runs, 18 doubles, five triples, six home runs, 57 RBI, 124 total bases, a .593 slugging percentage and a .442 on-base percentage. Anderson led the team with 26 multi-hit games and 14 multi-RBI games and had a 12-game hitting streak during the season. Anderson was named the GLIAC Co-Player of the Year and the Daktronics Midwest Region Player of the Year, while also being named All-GLIAC First Team and First Team All-Midwest by Daktronics, ABCA and the NCBWA, and Honorable Mention All-America by teh NCBWA. Anderson was also named to both the GLIAC and NCAA Division II Midwest Region All-Tournament Teams.

Curtin, who was the GLIAC "Co-Player of the Year", had four triples, scored 29 runs, drove in 18 runs, stole 11 bases and batted .392. Curtin led the GLIAC in triples and was second in batting average. He also became the third Dragon to have 200 hits in a career. On the mound, Curtin was 5-1 with two complete games and two saves, struck out 31 batters for a team leading 3.49 ERA in 38.7 innings. He recorded a 5-4 win over Saginaw Valley State on May 6 that clinched a GLIAC tournament bid for the first time in school history.
