Grand Valley State, Wayne State, and Ashland in the First NCAA Regional Rankings

Indianapolis -- The first NCAA Division II regional rankings have been released. The Midwest region includes three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) teams. Grand Valley State University appears in the poll at No. 1 with a record of 30-10. Wayne State University is No. 5 in the Midwest region poll and currently owns a 24-13 record. Ashland University has posted a 24-18 record to this point in the season and is ranked No. 6.

The top six teams in the final poll will compete in the Midwest region tournament with the winner advancing to the Division II College World Series.
