BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University senior infielder Kyle Zimmerman (Frankfort, Mich./Frankfort) and senior pitcher Jordan Snider (Bay City, Mich. /John Glenn) have been chosen as the GLIAC Baseball "Player of the Week" and "Pitcher of the Week", respectively.

Wayne State University senior Kyle Zimmerman started his week
with a program record eight RBIs on Tuesday at Urbana. Zimmerman
went 4-for-5 with three runs scored. He had a three-run home run
and a grand slam in the game. As a team, WSU collected another
program record with six home runs. Zimmerman finished the week with
hitting .438 with nine RBIs and a .875 slugging percentage. Since
March 30, Zimmerman’s average his risen from .290 to
.333.

Northwood University senior Jordan Snider tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout to lead Northwood to a 1-0 win at Hillsdale. He allowed a bloop double and a bunt single to start the game, after which he did not allow a hit the rest of the way. He struck out six and walked one in his seven innings of work. He is now 2-2 in the league with 23.1 innings pitched and a 3.47 era. He has recorded 22 strikeouts with just five walks this season.
