BAY CITY, Mich. - Lake Erie College freshman outfielder Lucas Raley (Hinckley, Ohio/Medina Highland) and Grand Valley State University sophomore pitcher Patrick Kelly (Brookfield, Ill./Nazareth Academy) have been chosen as the GLIAC Baseball "Player of the Week" and "Pitcher of the Week", respectively.

Lake Erie College freshman outfielder Lucas Riley played in five games last week, all against GLIAC foes. Raley batted .591 (13-of-22) with four doubles and seven RBIs. The Hinckley, Ohio, native had multiple hits in 4-of-5 games on the week, and he scored nine runs as the lead cog in a Storm offense that averaged 9.4 runs per game against Ohio Dominican and Northwood; Lake Erie went 4-1 in the five contests. The 6-foot-3 outfielder went 3-for-4 with two doubles and walk in the middle game of LEC’s series against Northwood.

Grand Valley State sophomore pitcher Patrick Kelly anchored a
week full of stellar performances by the Laker pitching staff.
Kelly threw a four-hit, nine-inning shutout against Wayne State
(3-0) on Saturday, striking out four and issuing no walks. He
allowed only one hitter to reach second base and sat the Warriors
down in order in six of the nine innings pitched. Grand Valley
looks to take on Hillsdale College in a double header on March 26
in Grand Rapids at Davenport University.
