BAY CITY, Mich. - Grand Valley State University senior outfielder Ariel Aracena-Sanchez (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and University of Findlay senior pitcher Drew Hargrove (Troy, Mich./Troy) have been chosen as the GLIAC Baseball "Player of the Week" and "Pitcher of the Week", respectively.

Grand Valley State University senior outfielder had a huge two-game set against Hillsdale, tying a GVSU single-game record with seven RBI in a game during the Lakers' 13-8 victory. Aracena-Sanchez went 3-for-4 with three runs, a triple and a grand slam in the contest, finishing his week with a 2.000 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage. Aracena-Sanchez was 3-for-3 with runners on base in the game and his one opportunity with the bases loaded was a grand slam down the left field line.

University of Findlay senior pitcher Drew Hargrove threw 15 innings last week for the Oilers and allowed only one run on 11 hits. Hargrove threw eight innings for the no decision in the Oilers 2-1 win over Tiffin on March 26 and then came back on March 30 to throw a complete game, 2-0 shutout against Lake Erie. He also fanned ten batters in his 15 innings of work. Hargrove has a 2-3 record on the year with a 3.89 earned run average.
