BAY CITY, Mich. - Lake Erie College freshman outfielder Lucas Raley (Hinckley, Ohio/Medina Highland) and Grand Valley State University senior pitcher Sean Clancy (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis) have been chosen as the GLIAC Baseball "Player of the Week" and "Pitcher of the Week", respectively.

Lake Erie freshman Lucas Raley batted .529 (9-of-17) with two
doubles, three home runs and 10 RBIs in a week that saw the Storm
sew up the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GLIAC tournament. The
freshman had multiple hits in all four of his games on the week; he
now has garnered multiple hits in seven of his last 10 games and in
17 games on the year. For the season, he is batting .365
(58-of-159) with 10 doubles, nine home runs and 38 RBIs. Since
April 12 he is batting .441 (26-of-59) with a .763 slugging
percentage.

Grand Valley State senior Sean Clancy went 2-0 with a 1.50 in
two starts last week, throwing 12 innings, allowing only seven hits
and two earned runs with six strikeouts, holding hitters to a .167
batting average. Clancy kept his season record perfect at 7-0 and
upped his GLIAC record to 6-0. Clancy went seven innings, allowing
only six hits and striking out two against Northwood, then came
back with a stellar performance against Malone on Sunday, allowing
only one hit with four strikeouts in five innings to earn the
victory.
