GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Eight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) baseball players have been selected to the 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region teams. Six earned first-team distinction, while two others landed on the second team. Furthermore, Ohio Dominican junior starting pitcher Ryan Colegate was named the 2015 Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year.
Ashland and Grand Valley State led the league with three nominations each, including two first teamers apiece. Ohio Dominican also put a pair of student-athletes on the recognition list.
The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America Committee. ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans and Gold Glove winners will be announced on May 25, 2015.
