BAY CITY, Mich. - The Grand Valley State Lakers appeared at No. 15 in the first National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Rankings of the upcoming 2015 season. GVSU moved up two spots from their final ranking of No. 17 a year ago.
The Lakers ended the 2014 season with a 39-13 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Division II postseason for the 13th straight season, one of only two schools in the nation to have such an active streak. GVSU was ousted by Drury in the 2015 NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament Semifinals.
Grand Valley State has earned its fourth consecutive GLIAC title in 2014 and 11 of 12 since 2003. The Lakers also won GLIAC Tournament crowns in 2012 and 2014.
