2015 GLIAC Baseball Coaches' Poll: GVSU, Ashland Selected Divisional Favorites

BAY CITY, Mich. - The Grand Valley State Lakers and Ashland Eagles have been voted divisional favorites in the 2015 GLIAC Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll revealed on Wednesday (Feb. 11). The league's head coaches participated in the balloting, but were not allowed to vote for their team.

The four-time defending GLIAC Regular Season champion Grand Valley State Lakers received all 11 eligible first-place votes to lead the preseason polling in the North Division with 61 points, while the South Division is headlined by the Ashland Eagles who amassed seven first-place votes and 55 points. Wayne State sits in the No. 2 position in the North with 51 points and one first-place vote along with Lake Erie who landed second in the South with 49 points and three first-place tallies. 

Saginaw Valley and Ohio Dominican occupy the third spots in their respective divisions. The Cardinals garnered 41 points with the Panthers registering 44 points and a pair of first-place bids.
