Sports Force Parks to Host GLIAC Baseball & Softball Tournaments

SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center, a 57-acre sports tournament complex, and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) have signed a multi-year partnership agreement. As part of this partnership, the GLIAC will host several events throughout the season at Sports Force Parks including the conference tournament championships for baseball and softball.

"We are very pleased to start a new partnership with Sports Force Parks and provide our student-athletes with a state-of-the-art venue to host championships," commented GLIAC Commissioner Kris Dunbar. 

The GLIAC Softball Tournament will be held May 4th-6th, 2018 and the GLIAC Baseball Tournament will be held May 10th-13th, 2018. Additionally, Sports Force Parks will host baseball and softball exhibition games and accompanying events the weekend of September 16th-17th, 2017 that will be open to the public (participating teams TBD).

"This is an exciting partnership for our entire team, but as a kid from Saginaw, Michigan growing up near Saginaw Valley State University, having GLIAC as a partner is really special to me," says Brian Storm, President and CEO of Sports Force Parks. He continues, "We're looking forward to welcoming teams and fans from outside of Ohio to our brand new facility."

Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center opened in March 2017 and hosts youth tournaments, sports camps and events for children with disabilities on the park's ADA accessible field. Timing and details for all events will be announced on www.sportsforceparkssandusky.com.
