NU's Kin, DU's Djuraskovic, Earn Baseball Weekly Honors

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its fifth weekly baseball awards of the 2021 Baseball season. Northwood senior Connor Kin was awarded Player of the Week honors, while Davenport senior Cal Djuraskovic was awarded Pitcher of the Week accolades.


PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Connor Kin, Northwood

Connor Kin had a big weekend for Northwood, hitting .471 with three home runs and 11 RBIs in four games. He hit a home run in three of the four games played and drove in at least three runs in three games. Kin also added two doubles and finished the weekend with a .500 on-base percentage and a 1.118 slugging percentage. NU went 3-1 on the weekend against Purdue Northwest. The Timberwolves remain in first place in the GLIAC at 6-2.


PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Cal Djuraskovic, Davenport

 Djuraskovic had an impact in Davenport's 10-4 win on Sunday over Ashland. The left-handed hurler came out of the bullpen to set career-highs with 6.1 innings and 11 strikeouts to get the win over the Eagles. He entered in the third inning and promptly struck out the first six batters he faced. He also only gave up one walk and five hits to improve to 1-0 this season.
