BAY CITY, Mich. - Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) offenses were hitting on all cylinders last weekend as 10 teams scored 35 points or more. This week expect the see the scoreboards light up again especially when Wayne State University (42.8 ppg) visits Ashland University (35.7 ppg), first and third respectively in GLIAC scoring average.
Wayne State (6-0, 5-0), No. 6 in the latest AFCA Division II Top
25 poll, will travel to Ashland (4-2, 4-1) on Saturday (2:00 p.m.)
for a crucial South Division showdown. The Warriors defeated Lake
Erie College last week 45-24 in Detroit, while Ashland won at
Tiffin University 70-13. Last season Wayne State lost at home to
Ashland 35-40 in a back and forth shootout.
