BAY CITY, Mich. - This weekend the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football schedule includes four games where the eight teams playing each other are within one game of first place in their division. One of those four games includes the South Division leader hosting the North Division co-leader.
Wayne State University (7-1, 6-1), No. 15 in the latest AFCA
Division II Top 25 poll, will host Saginaw Valley State University
(5-2, 5-2) in Detroit on Saturday (12:00 p.m.) at Tom Adams Field.
Wayne State is coming off an exciting 27-24, double overtime win
over Hillsdale College. Saginaw Valley State won last week, 27-6,
in a Thursday night home contest against Ashland University. The
Warriors defeated SVSU last season 41-27 in University Center,
Mich., ending their 16 game losing streak to the Cardinals. Saginaw
Valley State leads the all time series 26-7-1.
