WACO, Texas - Losses by seven Top 25 teams this past weekend caused a shakeup in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. Delta State (Miss.) remains in the top spot after a 36-33 win over then-No. 10 Valdosta State, while Bloomsburg (Pa.) kept its No. 2 spot after a 55-42 victory over West Chester (Pa.). Pittsburg State (Kan.) moves up to No. 3 and keeps its record clean at 8-0 after a 38-17 win over Central Missouri. Northwest Missouri State is No. 4 this week after beating then-No. 3 Washburn (Kan.), 52-28. North Alabama was idle and rounds out the Top 5.

Washburn (Kan.) fell nine spots to No. 12 after its loss to Northwest Missouri State, but the biggest fall occurred to Abilene Christian (Texas), who dropped 10 spots to No. 19 after losing to then-No. 12 Midwestern State (Texas), 70-28. Bemidji State (Minn.), Mars Hill (N.C.) and Ashland (Ohio) all fell out of the Top 25, making room for No. 23 West Alabama, No. 24 California (Pa.) and No. 25 Colorado School of Mines to reappear in this week’s rankings.
