WACO, Texas - Delta State (Miss.) was idle this past weekend and remained in the top spot of the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll with 25 first-place votes, but losses by three of the Top 6 teams caused almost every team in the poll to change positions. Pittsburg State (Kan.) was idle and moved up to the second spot with three first-place votes, while Northwest Missouri State received the final first-place vote and moved up to No. 3 after beating Missouri Southern State, 52-21. Colorado State-Pueblo and Midwestern State (Texas) both moved up three spots to take over the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively, in this week’s poll.

North Alabama made the biggest fall in this week’s poll, dropping 12 spots to No. 17 after its loss to new-No. 18 West Alabama, 31-26. Bloomsburg (Pa.) had the next largest fall, dropping 10 spots to No. 12 after its loss to C.W. Post (N.Y.), 24-21. There are five Top 25 matchups this coming weekend with No. 1 Delta State (Miss.) hosting No. 18 West Alabama highlighting those games. The 2011 Gulf South Coference title will be on the line when these two teams meet in Cleveland, Miss.
