AU's Berkshire and MTU's Storm Named to the Beyond Sports Network 2011 Preseason All-American Team

Leesburg, Va. -- The Beyond Sports Network (BSN) 2011 Preseaon All American Team is made up of players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels.   These players were selected based on their BSN College Network profile, statistics, awards, and evaluation of film.  BSN will be announcing their 2011 All Americans at the conclusion of the 2011 season.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) was respresented by Ashland University senior kicker and punter Gregg Berkshire (Ashland, Ohio) and Michigan Technological University senior defensive lineman Todd Storm (Calumet, Mich.) were named to the Beyond Sports Network 2011 Preseason All-American Team.

In 2010, Berkshire was 16-of-23 on field goal tries and 48-of-50 on extra-point attempts.  He scored a team-high 96 points.  His longest field goal went 50 yards.  Berkshire punted 31 times and averaged a school-record 43.5 ypp.  He was a first team All-GLIAC pick and was a finalist for the Fred Mitchell Award, which is presented to the national kicker of the year. Berkshire has been named to the 2011 Mitchell Award Watch List.

Storm earned All-America Honorable Mention from Daktronics and Don Hansen's Football Gazette in 2010. He was also named the GLIAC's "Defensive Lineman of the Year" and All-GLIAC First Team. Storm was picked as Tech's Fred Baird Memorial Award winner as the team's best defensive player, and led the GLIAC in sacks (10.0) and was fourth in tackles for loss (14.0)
