BAY CITY, Mich. - Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) teams earned rankings in the D2Football.com Top 25 Preseason poll, released on Monday, Aug. 22.

Grand Valley State University will start the season ranked fourth in the D2Football.com poll, while Hillsdale College begins in the 18th position. Wayne State University will enter the 2011 campain ranked 24th.
The Lakers, coming off an 11-2 mark in 2010, will open the season at home on Thursday, Sept. 1, when Western Oregon visitis Lubbers Stadium. The Chargers, who posted a 9-3 record last season, will start the 2011 season at Ferris State University on Friday, Sept. 2 in a non-league clash. Wayne State, owners of a 9-2 mark in 2010, open the season at home on Saturday, Sept. 3 by hosting Urbana University (Ohio).
