BAY CITY, Mich. -Week #7 of the 2012 college football season finds the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with just one undefeated team (overall and in conference play) and six teams with just one loss in league play. Two of the teams with one loss will square off tonight in the CBS Sports Network NCAA Division II "Game of the Week" when Wayne State University (4-1, 4-1) visits Saginaw Valley State University (5-1, 4-1) at 8:00 p.m. in a match-up of AFCA Top 25 teams.
Saginaw Valley State is ranked 17th in the latest AFCA poll and are coming off a win in the 39th annual Axe Bowl. The Cardinals downed Northwood University (4-2, 3-2), 28-20, on the road last Saturday. The Warriors posted a 24-21 win over Hillsdale College (4-2, 4-1) last Saturday in Detroit.

Ashland University jumped up to No. 8 in this week's poll after opening the season with six straight wins (6-0, 5-0) and are now one of just 13 undefeated teams remaining in Division II. The Eagles are coming off a 44-21 road win over Ohio Dominican University (3-3, 2-3) last weekend. Ashland will host Walsh University (2-4, 1-4) on Saturday in a 1:00 p.m. tilt.
Grand Valley State University (5-1, 4-1) fell to No. 14 in this week's AFCA D-II poll after losing to rival Ferris State University (4-2, 3-2) at home last Saturday. The Lakers will look to rebound with a trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula and a match up against Northern Michigan University (1-5. 0-5) in the Superior Dome on Saturday (1:00 p.m.).
