BAY CITY, Mich. - Week #3 of the 2013 college football season starts the second weekend of league play for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) which has one team ranked in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Top 25 poll.
Grand Valley State University (2-0, 0-0 GLIAC) stayed at No. 10 for the second we in row in this week's AFCA D-II poll after posting a 31-15 win over Truman State (Mo.) at Lubbers Stadium last Saturday. The Lakers will be lookng forward to playing their first conference foe at home this weekend when Tiffin University (0-2, 0-1 GLIAC) visits Allendale (Mich.) at 7:00 p.m.
Michigan Technological University (1-0, 1-0 GLIAC) is just outside the top 25 after winning last weekend on the road at Tiffin University, 40-14. Looking to crack the top 25 after this weekend's match-up, Walsh University (1-1, 1-0 GLIAC) visits Sherman Field in Houghton (Mich.) at 7:00 p.m.. Walsh looks to improve on their 1-1 overall record after winning at home over Northwood University last weekend, 25-14.
