BAY CITY, Mich. - Ashland University junior running back Anthony Taylor (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) "Offensive Player of the Week" after rushing for 311 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles' 62-10 win over Lake Erie College on Saturday. Grand Valley State University senior defensive back Reggie Williams (Lansing, Mich./Everett) earned "Defensive Player of the Week Honors," while Ohio Dominican University sophomore kicker Brent Wahle (Pataskala, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) was tabbed "Special Teams Player of the Week."

Ashland University junior running back Anthony Taylor set a school, single-game record for rushing yards at Lake Erie. The junior rushed for 311 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries in AU’s 62-10 victory. Taylor’s scoring runs measured 56, 40, 1 and 13 yards. This was his fourth game of 100+ yards this season, and the second time he had over 200 yards rushing this season and it’s the third 200-yard game of Taylor’s career. On the year, Taylor has rushed for 844 yards and six touchdowns and is averaging 8.0 yards per carry.

Grand Valley State senior
cornerback Reggie Williams recorded four tackles and four pass
break ups in the Lakers’ 49-3 victory over Michigan Tech
Saturday night. He also returned three punts 31 yards and had a
pair of kickoff returns that totaled 29 yards. Williams was part of
a defense that limited Michigan Tech to 338 yards of total offense
and held the Huskies without a TD. The Lakers held the Huskies 26
points below their season scoring average.

Ohio Dominican University sophomore
kicker Brent Wahle Booted a school record four field goals in the
Panthers’ 33-20 victory over Walsh University on
Saturday. He connected from 45, 36, 29 and 38 yards in the
contest. This marked the third game with three or more field
goals this season for Wahle. He currently leads the GLIAC in
field goals made (11) and attempted (13), while leading all kickers
in scoring (54 points). Wahle has the best percentage (85%) of any
kicker who has made more than four kicks and has made three of the
four longest field goals in the GLIAC this season (47, 47, 45).
