WACO, TEX. – Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football programs are ranked inside the top seven of the 2016 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Poll after one week of action. Grand Valley State remains in the No. 3 position after making a decisive 45-7 victory over Tiffin, while Ashland moved up one spot to No. 5 in the rankings after handling Mercyhurst 48-0. Ferris State improved five spots in the polls after blanking Ohio Dominican, 41-0. Two other conference teams (Michigan Tech and Hillsdale) received votes in the balloting.
