Bulldogs Remain Second, Lakers Jump to No. 14 in AFCA Football Poll

WACO, TEX.– Ferris State remained No. 2 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll after downing Findlay 48-27 in its opening contest as GLIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week senior quarterback Reggie Bell scored five touchdowns in the win. Grand Valley State improved to No. 14 following a 48-0 victory over Davenport as the Lakers held the Panthers to 121 yards of total offense.

Ferris State will face Northern Michigan at home next Saturday for its Hall of Fame Game, while Grand Valley State will head up to Houghton to battle Michigan Tech. Ashland is also receiving votes in this week's poll prior to their trip to Midland to tangle with Northwood who is one of two teams (Saginaw Valley) to go 2-0 through the first two weeks of the new season.
