Ferris State Jumps to No. 2 in Latest AFCA Football Poll; GVSU Eighth

WACO, TEX. – Ferris State moved into the No. 2 spot after their big victory to lead the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football programs in the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Ferris State (7-0, 5-0 GLIAC) earned a thrilling 35-31 victory on the road at Grand Valley State (6-1, 3-1 GLIAC) on Saturday night. The Bulldogs moved up one spot while the Lakers dropped five positions following the setback.

Saginaw Valley (6-1, 3-1 GLIAC) and Davenport (6-1, 3-1 GLIAC) are both listed in the others receiving votes category outside of the Top 25 rankings.

In other GLIAC Week 8 action: No. 2 Ferris State heads to Saginaw Valley, No. 8 Grand Valley State visits Davenport, Northern Michigan welcomes Lawrence Tech, Michigan Tech heads to Ashland and Wayne State welcomes Northwood.
