Three #GLIACFB Programs Earn AFCA Preseason Poll Ranking

WACO, TEX. – Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football programs are highly ranked inside the AFCA Division II Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll. Ferris State leads the conference contingent at No. 8 and will battle East Stroudsburg at home to open the season on Thursday night, August 30th. Grand Valley State rings in at No. 10 with defending league champion Ashland slotted at No. 15 as both programs face ranked opponents in their first contests.

The first week of action starts off with four Top 25 matchups nationally, all on Thursday, August 30th. The first game has No. 2 West Florida hosting No. 22 Carson-Newman (Tenn.) while No. 4 Indiana (Pa.) travels to No. 15 Ashland. The third Top 25 matchup is a conference battle as No. 5 Fort Hays State (Kan.) plays host to No. 18 Central Missouri. The final matchup has No. 10 Grand Valley State hosting No. 13 Indianapolis (Ind.).
