D2Football.com -- D2Football.com has released its 2018 Preseason Poll and All-American Teams prior to the start of the new season this week. Ferris State arrived at No. 7 in the preseason balloting, while Grand Valley State followed at No. 14. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) made it three teams inside the Top 25 as the Ashland Eagles rank No. 16.
Three GLIAC standouts were named to the D2Football.com Preseason All-America Team, including First Team honorees in Ferris State senior OL Devon Johnson, Ashland senior DL James Prater Jr. and Second Teamer in Grand Valley State senior OL Nick Fish.
