Ferris State & Grand Valley State Earn 2018 NCAA Football Championship Berths

GLIAC -- The field for the 2018 NCAA Division II Football Championships has been announced and two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football programs have earned postseason bids in Super Region Three. Regional quarterfinal action will commence Saturday (Nov. 17) on campus sites of the higher seed.

The 2018 GLIAC Football Champion Ferris State Bulldogs enter the postseason as the No. 2 seed in Super Region Three and will welcome No. 7 Harding to Big Rapids next Saturday in First Round action. Grand Valley State will also host a playoff contest as the No. 3 seed matching up with No. 6 Northwest Missouri State next Saturday in Allendale.

Ouachita Baptist earned the No. 1 spot in the region and will receive the coveted first-round bye. Ouachita will face the quarterfinal victor of the No. 4 Indianapolis versus No. 5 Fort Hays State matchup.

The top seven programs in the region qualified for postseason play with the No. 1 seed receiving a first-round bye. Super Region Three consists of schools from the GLIAC, the Great American Conference (GAC), the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA).
