MTU's Hojnacki Named to the Capital One Academic All-District IV College Division First Team

Bay City, Mich. - The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ® Men’s Basketball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.   Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.

Michigan Technological University's Mike Hojnacki (Milwaukee, Wis./New Berlin Eisenhower) has earned a place on the Capital One Academic All-District IV College Division First Team which is chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

 

 

 

Hojnacki ranks 25th in the league in scoring, averaging 12.0 points per game. The 6-7 forward ranks fifth in 3-point shooting percentage (.536) and 11th in field goal percentage (.536). Hojnacki, a senior in mechanical engineering, owns a 3.57 cumulative grade point average.

 

 

 

 

 

First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
