HOUGHTON, Mich. - Michigan Tech junior Ali Haidar eclipsed the 1,000 point mark for his career after scoring 36 points at Saginaw Valley Saturday (Jan. 14). He currently ranks 25th in school history with 1,002 points and is averaging 13.6 points for his 70 game career.

“Scoring 1,000 points is quite an honor for Ali to reach so early in his career,” said head coach Kevin Luke. “This was also a team effort not only for Ali, but to have two players on the same team with 1,000 points.”

Haidar is the second Michigan Tech player to 1,000 points this season.

Senior Mike Hojnacki attained the mark earlier this season and currently ranks 15th in school history with 1,169 points.
