KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The top five spots remain the same this week in the final NABC/Division II men's basketball rankings for the 2011 calendar year, with Metropolitan State retaining the top position in the poll heading into the winter break for NCAA Division II schools.

The Roadrunners beat Regis in their only contest of the week to hold onto the top spot as teams around the nation wrapped up play Monday evening prior to the break that will run through Dec. 26.  Metro State is followed this week by the same four teams as it was a week ago in Southern Indiana, Lincoln Memorial, Kentucky Wesleyan - all of whom received a first place vote - and Bellarmine.

Missouri Southern moved up a spot to begin the second five at No. 6, followed by West Liberty, Cal Poly Pomona, Fort Hays State - who posted a 19-point win over previously undefeated Northwest Missouri State Saturday - and Tarleton State.  The next five spots in the poll went to teams that either made a significant jump or fall, with Winona State moving up five spots to No. 11 to lead that group.

This week's No. 12-ranked team is Colorado School of Mines, with Northern Kentucky, Alabama-Huntsville and Bowie State taking the next three spots.

Colorado Mines dropped six spots this week, while the three teams that followed all rose at least four positions.

Humboldt State dropped eight spots to No. 16 this week, with Arkansas Tech, Findlay, Midwestern State and Alaska-Anchorage rounding out the top 20.

The final five teams in this week's poll are bookended by two newcomers who are among the nine remaining undefeated teams in Division II.  Minnesota State-Moorhead checks in at No. 21, followed by Augustana, Indiana (Pa.) and Benedict prior to No. 25 Winston-Salem State.  All nine undefeated teams are in this week's Top 25.

Due to the break for NCAA Division II schools, no poll will be conducted next week.  The next poll will be released on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
