Lake Superior State Jumps Up to No. 21 in Latest NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As the conference tournaments are now underway across the nation, Metropolitan State heads into it as the unanimous No. 1 team in NCAA Division II in the latest NABC/Division II men’s basketball rankings.  The Roadrunners, who are in the midst of a 22-game winning streak, stayed atop the poll with the only other one-loss team, East Stroudsburg, now at second after Tarleton State’s loss Saturday.

West Liberty and Drury also moved ahead of the Texans in the rankings as Tarleton State dropped to fifth this week.  Southern Connecticut State remains at No. 6, while South Carolina Aiken, Indianapolis, Colorado School of Mines and Indiana (Pa.) all moved up one spot as the result of California Baptist’s overtime loss at Dixie State Saturday.  The Lancers check in at No. 11 this week, just ahead of West region foe Cal State-San Bernardino.

Lincoln Memorial stayed in 13th this week, followed by Minnesota State, Central Missouri and Florida Southern. Montevallo comes in at No. 17, with Seattle Pacific, Wisconsin-Parkside and Southern Indiana completing the top 20.

Lake Superior State, Cal Poly Pomona, Lewis, Midwestern State and Delta State are the last five teams in this week’s poll.
