BAY CITY, Mich. - Lake Superior State University senior guard Derek Billing (Anna, Ohio/ Anna) and Tiffin University senior guard Joe Graessle (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.
GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:

Lake Superior State University senior guard Derek Billing scored a career-high 41 points to lead LSSU to a 104-90 victory at Kentucky-Wesleyan on Nov. 27. He was 14-of-20 from the field with seven three-pointers and 6-of-7 at the free-throw line. It was a two-point game with 7:38 left. Billing had a three-pointer, layup, steal and two assists during a 15-5 run that put the Lakers up 90-78 with about three minutes remaining. He is currently averaging 21.5 poitns per game, placing him seventh in the GLIAC.

Tiffin University senior guard Joe Graessle was named Naniloa Volcanoes Resort Thanksgiving Tournament MVP last week. Against #18 Fort Lewis, he scored 35 points to lead the team to a 102-92 victory. Against FLC, he hit a three-pointer with 22 seconds to go to force overtime and had a jumper with 18 seconds left to force a second overtime. Graessle has scored at least 20 points in his last 18 games and has at least two steals in his last 13 games. Graessle is averaging 27.8 points per game, placing him second overall in the GLIAC.
