BAY CITY, Mich. - Lake Superior State University senior guard Derek Billing (Anna, Ohio/Anna) and Hillsdale College senior forward Tim Dezelski (Northville, Mich./Detroit C.C.) have been chosen as the GLIAC Men's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

senior guard Derek Billing was 20-of-21 at the free-throw line and
averaged 25.5 points per game to lead the Lakers to wins at Ohio
Dominican and Tiffin. Billing scored 19 points during the first
half of the to defeat the Panthers 68-63. Billing helped LSSU get
off to a strong start in the second half by hitting two
three-pointers during the first four and a half minutes againts
Tiffin to help put Tiffin away 80-69. Billing also led LSSU in
rebounds in both games, averaging 7.5 rpg for the weekend.

Hillsdale College senior forward Tim Dezelski carried the Chargers to a pair of wins over GLIAC North Division foes last week with two more monster games. In victories over Wayne State (69-67) and Saginaw Valley State (73-57), Dezelski averaged 29.5 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.5 blocked shots per game. He shot 52 percent from the floor, 44 percent from 3-point territory and made 11 of his 12 free throws in the two games. In Saturday’s win over SVSU, he grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds and tied a season-high with four blocked shots.
