BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced weekly men's basketball awards following competition in the second week of February. Hillsdale senior forward Kyle Cooper captured GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season, while Walsh senior guard Jesse Hardin Jr. collected GLIAC South Division Player of the Week accolades for the third time this year.

Highlights: Hillsdale senior Kyle Cooper helped the Chargers to a 2-0 week with a pair of monster games for Hillsdale. Cooper averaged 32.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 75 percent from the field, 67 percent from 3-point territory and 89.5 percent from the free throw line. In Saturday's win over Northern Michigan, the GLIAC's leading scorer registered 40 points, going 13-for-16 from the floor, 10-for-11 from the free throw line, and 4-for-5 from 3-point land. Cooper now has three 40-point games in his career, and two this season. In Thursday's comeback victory over Michigan Tech, Cooper recorded 25 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go with 12 rebounds. |

Highlights: Walsh senior guard Jesse Hardin Jr. had perhaps his best week of the season as he averaged 32.5 points per game with a 54.5 percent average (18-of-33) from the field. He also made 50 percent of his shots from behind the 3-point line with 11 triples, made 18-of-19 free throws, and averaged seven rebounds per game. Hardin Jr. exploded for 35 points against Ohio Dominican and followed up with 30 against Tiffin in an 88-69 win. |
