LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Ferris State and Findlay went head to head on Sunday (March 13) in the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championships Midwest Regional Semifinal hosted by No. 1 seed Bellarmine in Louisville. The Oilers eliminated the Bulldogs from the tournament with a thrilling 68-63 victory. Findlay now advances to Tuesday's Sweet 16 matchup against No. 1 Bellarmine.

RECAP: The Findlay duo of Taren Sullivan and Martyce Kimbrough led the way for the Oilers and a spot in the Sweet 16 on Tuesday night. Sullivan posted a game-high 22 points and eight rebounds, while Kimbrough recorded 21 points and six boards in a grind-it-out victory over Ferris State. FSU's Zach Hankins tallied 17 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in the loss. Findlay extends their record to 25-6, the 11th time in the storied program's history that they have reached the 25-win plateau and the first time with Charlie Ernst at the helm.
