2017 NCAA DIVISION II MEN'S BASKETBALL MIDWEST REGIONAL
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Ferris State and Findlay began the 2017 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championships on Saturday (March 11) with victories at the Midwest Regional hosted by No. 1 seed Bellarmine in Louisville. The Bulldogs and Oilers now have a date on Sunday at 5 PM for a spot in the Sweet 16 Regional Championship game.

GAME 1: No. 6 Findlay 70 def. No. 3 Southern Indiana 69 - BOX SCORE
RECAP: Tyler Stern-Tucker recorded the game-winning bucket with six seconds to go to lift the Oilers to a dramatic 70-69 victory in the region quarterfinals. Findlay's Taren Sullivan recorded 24 points and 14 rebounds to lead Findlay to victory with Stern-Tucker adding 17 points and seven boards. UF plays the winner of Ferris State vs. Truman at 5 PM on Sunday.
GAME 2: No. 2 Ferris State 86 def. No. 7 Truman State 78 - BOX SCORE
RECAP: Ferris State overcame a six-point halftime deficit to earn the victory and advance to the region semifinals vs. Findlay on Sunday at 5 PM. After a slow first half, the Bulldogs fired over 55 percent in the second frame and got some big help in 32 points off the bench thanks to 14 points from D'Angelo Hughes. FSU's Drew Cushingberry posted a game-high 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including a key 11-for-13 from the line. Peter Firlik added 17 points, while Zach Hankins added points boards and a huge 16 rebounds.
