No. 1 Saginaw Valley 75 def. Ashland 68 | BOX SCORE

Saginaw Valley gained a 9-0 advantage out of the gates as the Cardinals never trailed in their first contest as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation. SVSU led by as many as 16 in the second half as Garrett Hall recorded a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds, while C.J. Turnage scored 20 points and collected six boards along with Caleb Davis who earned a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. SVSU held a 7-rebound margin in the game as both team shot 43 percent from the field.


Findlay 91 def. Northwood 73 | BOX SCORE

Findlay jumped out to a 41-16 lead with seven minutes to play in the first half before Northwood used a 17-4 run before the half to trail by 12. Findlay's Martyce Kimbrough poured in 23 first-half points to give the Oilers a comfortable lead en route to the 18-point win. UF rained in 12 triples on the night on its way to 50.8 percent shooting from the floor. Findlay's Taren Sullivan also put up 19 points and eight rebounds.


Walsh 65 def. Ferris State 59 | BOX SCORE

Walsh forward Trey Fletcher continued his hot hand with 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to a big home victory over Ferris State. WU, playing only eight men, also received 19 points from guard Zac Carter and 11 rebounds from guard Chandler Vaudrin. The Cavs got to the line 33 times in the contest and held a 20-6 advantage in made free throws, despite 19 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks from Ferris State forward Zach Hankins. 


Wayne State 70 def. Tiffin 68 | BOX SCORE

Wayne State moved to 3-0 in GLIAC play and extended its overall win streak to six games as the Warriors fended off a late 8-2 Tiffin run to take the victory. Four WSU players reached double figures led by forward Chuck Key's 18 points and seven rebounds, while George Spencer scored 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting off the bench. 


Ohio Dominican 74 def. Northern Michigan 62 | BOX SCORE

Ohio Dominican outscored Northern Michigan 46-31 in the second half thanks to 55.2 percent shooting and 18 second-half points off the bench from Sam Hickey who posted a game-high 27 points on 8-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc. Hasan Varence posted a double-double for the Panthers with 16 points and 10 boards as the Panthers committed just five turnovers on the night, while forcing 15 Wildcat turnovers.


Lake Erie 77 def. Michigan Tech 73 | BOX SCORE

Lake Erie picked up its first win of the year as first-year head coach Kyle Conley notched his first-career win with a 4-point win over visiting Michigan Tech. LEC fired 54.7 percent from the field for the night and used a 36-24 points in the paint advantage in a matchup that featured 21 lead changes and 10 ties. Storm forward Nick Wells tallied 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting and eight rebounds, while Gabe Kynard and Sean Howard scored 15 points each. Tied with 1:24 to play, Lake Erie responded with a 6-0 run to pull away from the Huskies who were led by Tommy Luca's 24 points, six rebounds and five assists.


Grand Valley State 75 def. Hillsdale 49 | BOX SCORE

The Lakers held the Chargers to merely 29 percent shooting on the night while pouring in buckets at a 51.7 percent clip, including 7-of-14 from 3-point range to go with a lopsided 49-30 rebounding advantage. GVSU gained 34 points off the bench as the Lakers doubled up Hillsdale at the break, 40-20. GVSU guard Luke Ryskamp guided the Lakers with 15 points and five boards, while Drake Baar and Chris Dorsey scored 11 points each.
