Findlay's Kimbrough Selected USBWA Division II National Player of the Week

USBWA -- Findlay junior guard Martyce Kimbrough has been selected the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week after the 6-foot-1 guard averaged 35.0 points in a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victories for Findlay, which improved to 21-5 overall and 15-4 in GLIAC play. Kimbrough scored a career-high 41 points in a 105-87 win over Tiffin University, hitting a school-record 11 three-pointers in the victory. He added 29 points in an 85-65 win over Ashland University to close out the week.

Kimbrough shot 57 percent (24-for-42) from the field for the week, and he was even better from beyond the three-point line, converting three-pointers at 59 percent (16-for-27) while hitting 6-of-6 free throws on the week. In his 41-point effort, he was 14-for-19 from the field and 11-for-15 on three-pointers, and he added three rebounds and three assists. Two nights later, he was 10-for-23 from the field, hitting 5-of-12 three-pointers in a 29-point, three-rebound, two-assist performance.

He leads the GLIAC in free throw percentage (96.7) and three-point field goals made (104), while ranking fourth in points per game (20.2).
