Saginaw Valley's Hall, Hillsdale's Badowski Claim GLIAC Men's Hoops Weekly Honors

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced weekly awards following the opening weekend of the 2016 men's basketball season. Saginaw Valley senior guard Garrett Hall earned GLIAC Men's Basketball North Division honors, while Hillsdale junior guard Ryan Badowski captured South Division accolades.


NORTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Garrett Hall, Saginaw Valley

Saginaw Valley senior guard Garrett Hall led the No. 4 Cardinals to a 2-0 start to the season. He averaged 19.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 2.0 apg. Hall posted a game-high 17 points with six rebounds and two assists in the team's season-opening victory over No. 3 Bellarmine on Friday night before registering a team-best 21 points with four boards and two assists in the team's win Saturday over St. Joseph's. 


SOUTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Ryan Badowski, Hillsdale

Hillsdale junior guard Ryan Badowski sparked the Charger men's basketball team to a 2-0 start to the 2016-17 season over the weekend. In Friday's season opener, he scored a career-high 25 points while going 6-for-9 from 3-point land in the Chargers' win over Malone. He followed that up with a 16-point outing in Hillsdale's win over Ohio Valley. For the weekend, Badowski averaged 20.5 points, shot 71 percent from the field and 62 percent on 3-point shots, along with 4.5 rebounds per game.
