Official D2CCA All-Region Release

D2CCA -- After leading Ferris State to its second consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) championship and fourth straight conference tournament title, Bulldog junior center Zach Hankins has been chosen as the 2018 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCCA) Midwest Region Player of the Year. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) landed four of the ten all-region spots with two on first team and two on the second team.

The D2CCCA All-Region Teams are sponsored by the conference commissioner's association with nominations and voting determined by sports information directors from across the region. In addition to being tabbed both the conference and regional player of the year, Hankins was one of five individuals named to the All-Midwest Region First Team, which included Michigan Tech junior forward Kyle Monroe who set the single-season GLIAC scoring record this past season. Ashland's Wendell Davis and Ferris State's Drew Cushingberry earned Second Team accolades.
