#7 FERRIS STATE DEF. MICHIGAN TECH, 85-66 | BOX SCORE

Ferris State forced Michigan Tech into 20 turnovers resulting in 26 points as the No. 7 Bulldogs cruised to an 85-66 victory. FSU recorded a 27-6 advantage in fastbreak points and connected on 11-of-20 (50%) from beyond the arc in the victory. Ferris State was paced by Zach Hankins 14 points and five rebounds along with DeShaun Thrower's 13 points and five assists, while Noah King and Markese Mayfield each added 12 points for the Bulldogs.

LAKE SUPERIOR STATE DEF. NORTHERN MICHIGAN, 78-60 | BOX SCORE

Lake Superior State limited Northern Michigan to just 35.7 percent shooting on the evening en route to a runaway victory in the second half. LSSU doubled-up NMU 40-20 in the second twenty minutes as the Lakers fired 51.7 percent to the Wildcats 21.7 percent in the second frame. For the contest, Lake State outrebounded NMU by a 40-29 margin which resulted in a 30-14 points in the paint advantage for the home team. LSSU's Akaemji Williams posted a game-high 18 points and nine assists with four steals, while Blake Marquardt posted 16 points including 13 second-half points for the Lakers in the win.

 

ASHLAND DEF. GRAND VALLEY STATE, 89-80 | BOX SCORE

The Ashland Eagles used it size to gain a 44-18 points in the paint advantage and went 26-32 from the free throw line Thursday night to pick up a big home victory over Grand Valley State. AU fired 54.7 percent on the night in a game featuring 10 ties and eight lead changes. The Eagles put all five starters in double figures paced by Wendell Davis' 22 points and seven rebounds. GVSU's Myles Miller compiled a game-high 27 points and five assits in the defeat.

NORTHWOOD DEF. DAVENPORT, 57-52 | BOX SCORE

With the contest tied up a 52 with 1:45 remaining, Northwood scored the final five points of the contest to come away with the road victory and first GLIAC win of the season. Northwood's Trey McBride led all scorers with 15 points, six rebounds and four steals, while Delano Smith paced Davenport with 13 points. The Timberwolves outrebounded the Panthers by a 49-34 margin and gained a 34-18 points in the paint advantage to earn the victory.

WAYNE STATE DEF. SAGINAW VALLEY, 74-57 | BOX SCORE

Wayne State put five players in double-figures paced by 19 points from George Spencer and 17 points, eight boards and four blocks from Chuck Key in a big win over Saginaw Valley. SVSU's Mike Wells led all scorers with 22 points on the night while Fred John Jr. posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Warriors owned a 42-32 points in the paint advantage and forced 23 SVSU turnovers.

TIFFIN DEF. PURDUE NORTHWEST, 61-58 | BOX SCORE

An 11-0 Tiffin run over the final 2:05 lifted the Dragons to a three-point victory on home turf Thursday night over GLIAC newcomer Purdue Northwest. Austin Adams led all scorers with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Torrance Johnson guided the Pride with 17 points and seven boards. The Dragons earned a 43-33 rebounding advantage in the win.
