#5 FERRIS STATE DEF. ASHLAND, 91-57 | BOX SCORE

Ferris State remained unbeaten on the year after shooting 61.3 percent in the second half to outscore AU 55-29 during the second tenty minutes. The Bulldogs committed just three turnovers in the contest while forcing 20 Ashland miscues, which FSU converted into 25 points. Drew Cushingberry led the Dawgs with 22 points, while Noah King added 16 of his own. Wendell Davis paced the Eagles with 20 points, six boards and four assists.

LAKE SUPERIOR STATE DEF. TIFFIN, 80-67 | BOX SCORE

Lake Superior State's Michael Nicholson recorded a game-high 22 points and six rebounds on 9-of-10 shooting as the Lakers took down Tiffin and improved to 2-0 in conference play and 6-1 overall. LSSU received 39 points from its reserves while shooting 48.1 percent from the floor in the contest. Tiffin's Alex Brown notched a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

NORTHERN MICHIGAN DEF. SAGINAW VALLEY, 86-69 | BOX SCORE

The offensive production of Northern Michigan once again went through Isaiah Johnson and Naba Echols as the Wildcats improved to 2-0 in league play. Johnson posted a game-high 29 points and nine rebounds, while his counterpart Echols dropped in 21 points as NMU fired 50.8 percent from the field. Northern Michigan jumped out to a big 18-point halftime lead and outrebounded SVSU by a 43-30 margin, including a 42-28 points in the paint advantage.

DAVENPORT DEF. GRAND VALLEY STATE, 66-55 | BOX SCORE

Davenport moved to 2-0 in conference play with a big win over crosstown rival Grand Valley State thanks to a game-high 17 points from Delano Smith. Despite shooting 33.9 percent from the field, the Panthers earned the win by going 24-for-28 (85.7%) from the free throw line in a contest where DU led throughout. 

WAYNE STATE DEF. PURDUE NORTHWEST, 73-66 | BOX SCORE

Ronald Booth's 20 points paced Wayne State to an early-season road victory over GLIAC newcomer Purdue Northwest. The Warriors fired 56.3 percent from the three point arc and outrebounded PNW by a 29-20 margin. Torrence Johnson led all scorers with 21 points and five boards to guide the Pride.

MICHIGAN TECH DEF. NORTHWOOD, 87-70 | BOX SCORE

Michigan Tech forward Kyle Monroe poured in a game-high 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting along with 12 rebounds, five steals and four assists as the Huskies shot 56.4 percent to upend Northwood in Houghton. Isaac Appleby aided Monroe with 20 points of his own on 6-for-9 shooting in a contest where Tech shot 60 percent from beyond the arc. In addition, the Huskies converted 14 turnovers into 22 points on their way to victory.
