BAY CITY, Mich. - Northwood University senior Blair Turner (Midland, Mich./Midland) and Wayne State University junior Alex LaSerra (Jackson, Mich./Napoleon) have been chosen as the Men's Golf "Co-Athletes of the Week."

Northwood University senior Blair Turner led the Timberwolves at the Purgatory Regional by tying for third overall out of 156 golfers. He opened the event by shooting a career-low round of three-under par 69. Turner then carded a 74 in round two to finish with a one-under par total of 143. He was one shot out of earning a share of medalist honors.

Wayne State University junior Alex LaSerra tied for third place at the Midwest Regional in Noblesville, Ind. at Purgatory Golf Course, which concluded on Monday. He shot a career low round of 69 in round one and finished with a 143 (69, 74). The tie for third is the best finish in his career. For the season, he has a stroke average of 75.0 in his 18.5 rounds of golf.
